0xU is initiated by university students in Hong Kong. We are committed to cross-school cooperation, and actively integrated into the Web3 industry.

0xU members come from all universities across Hong Kong, primarily including:
- The University of Hong Kong
- The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
- City University of Hong Kong
- Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
We have over 30 core members, more than 150 active builders, and a community of over 2,000 young and dedicated Web3 builders.
Reach:
0xU collaborates with student organizations and blockchain developers to aggregate university and industry resources, enhancing communication, research, and development in the Web3 industry.
Impact:
Incubate the development of blockchain projects initiated by university students.
Educate university students on emerging Web3 technologies.
Bridge experienced founders and investors in the Web3 sphere with talented university students.

Standing on the brink of a new internet era, 0xU bridges the gap for young Web3 builders to seize opportunities and grow, while offering seasoned builders fresh perspectives to empower the industry together.
1 | Offline Workshop and Events:
To fully integrate Web3 resources in Hong Kong and create an international, comprehensive platform for resource and connection exchange, 0xU will host ongoing workshops and events at universities throughout Hong Kong.
1.1 | Major Events:
In 0xU, we will execute two event series annually:
0xU Unitour Series
Each year, 0xU will organize Web3@Campus at 3 - 5 universities across Hong Kong during the second semester of the academic year. This initiative is designed to:
- Introduce university students to Web3
- Facilitating engagement with emerging industry trends
- Providing industry professionals with the opportunity to identify and nurture new talent.
0xU Career Day
Each year, 0xU hosts a career day at a selected university, bringing together industry leaders to discuss employment trends in the Web3 sector. This event aims to:
- Provide students with opportunities to explore careers in Web3 and understand the current demand in this field.
- Offer existing Web3 professionals a chance to connect with potential employers within academic settings.
1.2 | Project-Specific Events:
For projects or chains that have positively impacted the Web3 sphere or have become influential sources of inspiration for young builders, 0xU will host project-specific events. These events aim to expand their reach to university students and create a platform for passionate builders to connect.

The "0xU Youth Pioneer Forum" is hosted by the 0xU Hong Kong University Student Blockchain Community and is one of the main sub-forums of the "2023 Hong Kong Web3Fes". The Youth Pioneer Forum is a groundbreaking event that brings together the brightest young minds in the Web3 world.

1.4.2 HKU Offline Web3 Course
After a month of intensive preparation, polishing, selection, and iteration, the offline Web3 course led by 0xU is finally here!
This is a course where you will learn key concepts and practical methods of Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, NFT, DAO, and more. But this is not just a course; you will engage in dialogues with excellent Web3 entrepreneurs and top VCs, and deeply participate in 0xU community-exclusive activities.

0xU Blockchain Club boasts a substantial online community, encompassing the most dedicated builders in the Web3 sector and leading pioneers within universities.

Aimed at empowering university students with peer-to-peer learning, the 0xU Community fosters connections among Web3 enthusiasts and hones critical skills for a career in Web3. The long-term vision of the Research Department is to establish a mature, integrated investment research platform for 0xU, actively participating in the development of the Web3 industry. Together, we aim to advance the blockchain field, continuously expanding our influence and value.
5 | Organisation Structure
5.1 | Roles
Co-Presidents:
The primary responsibilities of the Co-Chairs include recruitment, coordinating organizational structure, determining the development direction of 0xU, continuously supporting the growth of various departments, and seeking effective collaboration opportunities.
PICs (Person-in-Charge):
PICs are the leaders of each department under 0xU, responsible for managing essential tasks related to their department's scope of work.
Researchers:
The Researchers will participate in the work of the Research Department, regularly assisting 0xU in producing content for external publication. Research members have the opportunity to publish reports or analyses in mainstream media through 0xU, gaining recognition and exposure within the industry.
Event Managers:
Event Managers will be responsible for preparing relevant materials and handling on-site work for events hosted by 0xU.
PR/BD Managers:
The PR/BD Managers are responsible for communicating with 0xU for on-campus collaborations and promoting partnerships with Web3 projects. The PR department also needs to create necessary artwork/text materials for 0xU to be published on various platforms.
Developers:
The Developers are responsible for providing technical guidance to 0xU members and representing 0xU in hackathon events.
5.2 | Departments
School Departments:
The School Departments are responsible for organizing the team within their respective schools, ensuring the smooth operation of 0xU branches in each institution. They also strive to enhance team cohesion. Additionally, 0xU aims to increase its on-campus exposure and strengthen the connection between the school and 0xU through the School PICs.

Research Department:
The Research Department leaders will guide the department in publishing regular monthly research reports, ensuring consistent output. The Research Department will also represent 0xU in investment research competitions.
Growth Department:
The Growth Department leaders will lead the department in representing 0xU for external communications, fostering collaborations, and managing the creation and operation of 0xU's social media accounts. Their goal is to continuously increase 0xU's prominence within the Web3 industry and among university students.
Technology Department:
The Technology Department leaders will guide the department in conducting regular internal basic technology training sessions for 0xU members. They will also represent 0xU in hackathons and other technical competitions.
5.3 | Communities
Research Group (Expert Research Team): The Research Group consists of industry experts with deep knowledge and extensive experience in various fields. It serves as a high-quality, close-knit circle for in-depth discussions within the community. This group is composed of a limited number of members whose backgrounds and qualifications undergo rigorous screening. The existence of the Research Group ensures professional and profound discussions, contributing to the community's academic research and cutting-edge exploration.

Exchange Group (Broad User Group): The Exchange Group primarily caters to users interested in Web3 technology, serving as an entry point into the Web3 field. This group provides the general public with opportunities to learn about blockchain, engage in in-depth discussions, and participate in the community. The official account has a total of approximately 2,500 users, and the Twitter account has around 1,500 organically grown followers, offering effective channels for expanding the community's influence and disseminating its ideas.
